Yacht driving training in China has been launched in Sanya, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Shanghai, etc. According to the navigation water area, length and type, the yacht driving license is divided into:
A1F: Able to drive marine mechanical and sailing hybrid power yachts of any length.
A1E: Able to drive marine mechanical and propulsion power yachts of any length.
A2F: Able to drive marine mechanical and sailing hybrid power yachts of a length of 20 meters and below.
A2E: Able to drive mechanical and propulsion power yachts of a length of below 20 meters.
B1F: Able to drive mechanical and sailing hybrid power yachts in any navigable water area of inland river.
B1E: Able to drive mechanical and propulsion power yachts in any navigable water area of inland river.
B2F: Able to drive mechanical and sailing hybrid power yachts in any enclosed water area of inland river.
B2E: Able to drive mechanical and propulsion power yachts in any enclosed water area of inland river.
To apply for Yacht Driving License in China, you shall meet the following conditions:
(I) Physical conditions
1. The corrected visual acuity of both eyes is above 4.9 in the logarithmic visual acuity chart;
2. No color blindness and weakness;
3. Both ears can identify the direction of sound source at 50 cm away from the tuning fork
4. Oral expression is free of obstacles;
5. There is no movement function disorder in the limbs.
(II) Age
The license holder shall not be less than 18 years old. If the license holder is over 65 years old, the deadline of Yacht Driving License shall not exceed the 70th birthday. If the license holder is over 70 years old and still needs to drive the yacht, he/she shall submit a conforming Certificate of Physical Conditions to the original issuing authority within 1 month before the deadline of Yacht Driving License and renew Yacht Driving License with a valid period of 1 year.
(III) Complete the required training and pass the examination held by Chinese Maritime Administration。
