Sanlorenzo’s first-ever explorer yacht is its new 460EXP, a displacement-hull yacht constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The first Sanlorenzo 460EXP won a Judges’ Commendation for design during the prestigious World Superyacht Awards 2016, cementing the success of this elegant explorer yacht.

The 460EXP blends the comfort, luxury and sleek exterior styling that this builder is renowned for and puts it in an expedition package, offering even more space, safety and self-reliance for long-range cruising. The Sanlorenzo 460EXP is built to go the distance, with a range of more than 4,000-nautical miles at 11 knots, though she still offers a maximum speed of 16 knots.
The Sanlorenzo 460EXP has similar lines to her sisters, but the superstructure is set forward like that of an expedition yacht, freeing up the aft deck to accommodate tenders, toys and a large crane for launching them. Superyacht amenities still abound, with pools, a gym, sauna and Turkish hammam all options the owner chose for the first 460EXP.
The 43-metre yacht has a gross tonnage of 460GT – hence the name 460EXP – and can accommodate 10 to 12 guests with a crew of seven to nine members in comfort as the yacht explores far and wide. This explorer yacht still has a fairly small draft of 2.5 metres, so she can sneak into shallow anchorages around the globe.
The 460EXP has earned the Green Plus certification from RINA, meaning she is eco-friendly as well. The yacht can be anchored for long periods and never have to use her generators, which reduces emissions and also allows for a quieter and more enjoyable yachting lifestyle.
